What’s On (Edmonton): Play Reading at the Script Salon – PGC, APN, Holy Trinity Anglican Church

Script-Salon2016 is the time to dine out on laughs as January’s SCRIPT SALON features a tasteful comedy by Cheoros & Edwards!

On Sunday, January 3 SCRIPT SALON welcomes the new year with a comedy banquet served fresh off the grill by playwrights David Cheoros and Linda Wood Edwards.

THE STORY: Having received word that a vicious local critic is coming to review them, the staff of the Locovore restaurant desperately try to put aside their own personal conflicts and differing agendas to survive the inspection. Linda Wood Edwards (Spring Alibi, True Grid, Never Let the Crew See You Cry) and David Cheoros (Gut, Invisible Child) team up to create a classic farce with not so classic subject matter. The local food movement, the restaurant industry and the essence of literary criticism get tossed into an industrial fan of broad comedy.

The play is read by Stephanie Wolfe, Sue Huff, Troy O’Donnell, Laura Raboud, Jenny McKillop, Vincent Forcier, Ellen Chorley, Cat Walsh and Jesse Gervais.

When: Sunday, January 3 at 7:30 pm

Where: The Upper Arts Space at Holy Trinity Anglican Church (10037 84 Avenue).

Cost: Admission is free however donations are accepted. Refreshments will be provided. Parking is free.

After the reading the audience is encouraged to ask questions and provide commentary directly to the playwright.

SCRIPT SALON is sponsored and supported by the Playwrights Guild of Canada, Alberta Playwrights Network and Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
