Ambrose University Theatre is offering Theatre Classes starting in January 2016.
Technical Theatre:
A hands on journey through the world of technical theatre where students learn about light, sound and set design as well as costumes and props through class lecture and assignments and by practically working as technicians for the program productions.
Instructor: Robyn Ayles
Movement:
A preparation of the body for use as a dramatic instrument. Discovery of the full range of body movement while freeing up physical inhibitions. Includes an introduction to a variety of basic dance styles through Movement Labs.
Instructor: Glenda Stirling
Voice and Speech:
Discovery of the voice and its vibration, resonation, connection to the breath, and power. Beginning work with phonetics and articulation sensitivity. The application of vocal work to text.
Instructor: Jackie Dyment
Vocal Production:
Study of singing technique specific to actors. Includes relaxation, preparation and introduction to song preparation for performance.
