Freewill Shakespeare Festival 2016: General Auditions
The Freewill Shakespeare Festival was founded in 1989 to satisfy the community need and theatre artist desire for a professional outdoor Shakespeare theatre experience in Edmonton, and has produced 27 seasons of Shakespeare at the Heritage Amphitheatre in Edmonton’s Hawrelak Park. The Freewill Shakespeare Festival is a registered charitable not-for-profit organization.
The Freewill Shakespeare Festival hires local Edmonton artists who are members of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association. The Freewill Shakespeare Festival will produce Romeo and Juliet and Love’s Labour’s Lost for their 28th Season.
General auditions will be held on Saturday December 19th, 2015 at Grant MacEwan University, Jasper Place Campus, from 10:00 AM to 3:00PM in the LAB (Room 189).
Actors who have worked for the FSF in the past eight years under the direction of Marianne Copithorne need not request an audition, but can send a note of interest instead. There is also specific interest in seeing actors for the roles of Romeo and Juliet.
If you are interested in auditioning, please contact Artistic Director Marianne Copithorne at ad@freewillshakespeare.com.
