Emerging Artists at Work
As a part of TJ LAB Sessions
At Theatre Junction GRAND
Theatre Junction announces an open call to performing artists for submissions to conduct research or develop a new work in progress in the realm of live art. Theatre Junction will provide artists with space and support for research, rehearsal, and performance in process.
This program will encourage artists to break away from established artistic practices and take risks in a creative environment with the support of Theatre Junction’s company of artists and dramaturge Raphaele Thiriet.
Artists and projects will be chosen across disciplines with a focus on performance creation. This program is open to artists who have at least 3 years of professional experience or post secondary education, and who have a desire to develop and explore their own artistic practice and language.
Theatre Junction will provide up to 7 days in the studio, dramaturgical support, and 10 hours of technical support. Artists will present their work in progress to a small public and/or an invited audience.
Please submit a dossier for the proposed project, and biographies of the artists involved to education@theatrejunction.com
