Eric Rose, Artistic Director of Ghost River Theatre
Drama students at the University of Calgary will get a chance to immerse themselves in a full year studying the exciting, unpredictable art of theatrical devising, thanks to a partnership with a nationally-acclaimed, Calgary-based theatre company. Ghost River Theatre will be the first Company-in-Residence with the School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) for the 2015-16 academic year.
In devised theatre, artists create their own plays from the ground up, using collaborative and often improvised approaches to produce a final presentation. As part of the residency, Eric Rose, artistic director of Ghost River Theatre, will teach a full-year course about devised theatre and performance.
