AUDITION NOTICE

Downstage will be auditioning actors on Thursday, July 30 & Friday, July 31 for the World Premiere of “Benefit” by Matthew MacKenzie in Calgary, Alberta. To apply for an audition, please email Tuled at tuled@downstage.ca with your headshot, resume and a brief statement regarding your interest in auditioning. Please be sure to indicate any scheduling conflicts you have on the audition date. You can also contact Tuled to request a reading script.

Expressions of interest should be received no later than Friday, July 24, 2015.

We thank all applicants for their interest and will notify you either way regarding our ability to grant you an audition.

SREY NORRIS – Foundation Spokeswoman, early thirties. Cambodian.
GREG NORRIS – Srey’s husband, early thirties.
CYNTHIA MACDONALD – Member of the Canadian Senate, early sixties.
FRED MACDONALD – Cynthia’s husband, Foundation President, late sixties.

Auditions will consist of prepared scenes from the play.

We engage members of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association under agreements like the Independent Theatre Agreement.
