News (Calgary): 2015 Calgary Critics Awards recipients revealed

The reipients of the Fourth Annual Calgary Critics Awards (The Critters) were announced on June 8th in an award ceremony at Commonwealth Bar.

The 2015 Critter Award recipients are:

Best Supporting Actress in a Play
Maureen Thomas – The Games Afoot (Vertigo Theatre)

Best Supporting Actor in a Play
Joel Cochrane – High Life (Ground Zero Theatre and Hit & Myth Productions)

Best Supporting Actress in a Musical
Katherine Fadum – Naughty but Nice (Forte Musical Guild)

Best Supporting Actor in a Musical
Mark Allan – Spamalot (Stage West)

Best Actor in a Play
Haysam Kadri – Othello (The Shakespeare Company)

Best Actress in a Play
Anna Cummer – Lungs (Verb Theatre)

Best Actor in a Musical
J.D Nicholsen – Dear Johnny Deere (Theatre Calgary)

Best Actress in a Musical
Katie Beetham – Spamalot (Stage West)

Best Technical Design
Jamie Nesbitt – Liberation Days (Theatre Calgary)

Best Set Design

Best Solo Performance

The Evans Award, a special award recognizing outstanding contribution to the vibrancy of the theatre community in Calgary, was awarded to Michael Green.
