Alberta’s theatre companies are invited to submit their season information to Theatre Alberta’s Playbill service – the most comprehensive resource in Alberta for local theatre information. We are also seeking program information for our Young Playbill: Theatre Opportunities for Youth, which is the only resource in Alberta that provides a comprehensive list of Alberta’s theatre programs for children and teens (18 and under)

Theatre Alberta’s Playbill service is produced in three different formats: the Playbill poster which is distributed across Alberta (see above), a searchable online desktop version and a mobile-friendly web-app. Productions listed in Theatre Alberta’s Playbill are also included in Theatre Buzz (our monthly eNews with 3,000 subscribers) and the ‘Playing this Week’ widget on nearly every page on our website. We have upgraded the online Playbill service allowing users to search for shows by date, and adding a “See More” option for more details about each production. Current Theatre Alberta group members may list their season information free-of-charge on the the Playbill poster, and their season information will remain online as long as their membership remains current. Click here for more information about Theatre Alberta membership. 

Theatre Alberta members are also eligible to purchase display ads on the Young Playbill at substantially reduced prices compared to non-members. (Last year we sold all these ads in about a week. This year we redesigned our advertising space to allow for more ads, but we still recommend booking space sooner rather than later.) Click here to view prices and ad sizes (PDF). We are also seeking production photos from last season to be featured on the Playbill poster. Click here to submit photos. The deadline for receiving photo submissions is July 4, 2015.

(Please note: If you have any concerns about releasing theatre season information that has not yet been made public, please note that Theatre Alberta will keep all season information private until the poster has been published in mid-August. Remember that you can enter TBA or TBC for productions that have not yet been confirmed: we can update the information later if things change.)
