StoryBook Theatre is currently seeking summer students for the following positions:

Theatre School Administrative Assistant (8 weeks)
Theatre School Camp Teaching Assistant (8 weeks)
RENT Teaching Assistant (8 weeks)
South Theatre School Teaching Assistant (6 weeks)

*All applicants must be returning to a post secondary program in Fall 2015

Job Descriptions

Theatre School Admin Assistant – Contract Length: June 22 to August 14
Duties:
• Reporting directly to Theatre School Administrator
• Communicating with parents
• Filing
• Liaising between staff and Theatre School Administrator

Theatre School Camp TA – Contract Length: June 22 to August 14
Duties:
• Supervising students during breaks
• Assisting with stage management of all classes
• Assisting with props/costumes
• Teching for all performances

Summer Student Intensive Program (SSIP) TA – Contract Length: June 27-Aug 22 (mostly evenings and some weekends)
Duties
• Assisting teachers during Summer Student Intensive Program production of RENT

South Location TA – Contract Length: July 6 to August 14
Duties
• Reporting directly to South location teacher
• Assisting in all classroom activities
• Supervising students

Skills & Qualifications
• Returning to post secondary education program in Fall 2015
• Interest in Arts Education
• Experience working with children
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must work well in a team setting
• Knowledge of technical theatre an asset
• First Aid is an asset
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check

Operating Hours

Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 4:30pm
*Note that every second Thursday will have evening performances for all staff except for South TA and SSIP TA
