KFT_logo-1Interested in Performing?
15 to 18 years old?
Looking for Creative/Flexible Summer Work?
Enjoy performing with Young Audiences?

Then…

Kompany Family Theatre might have just the opportunity for you!!

Kompany Family Theatre is casting six young actors 15 years and over (exceptions may be made to consider younger teens with performing experience) to work with professional actors as we create and perform our production for very young audiences:

Fairly Scary Fairy Tales

The summer tour of >Fairly Scary Fairy Tales includes performances in and around Edmonton at daycares, libraries, community events, festivals and at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival.

This is Kompany’s 6th year of our Highly Successful Teen Actor Mentorship Programme. Teens in the past have enjoyed working alongside professional actors & directors learning the craft of creating and performing interactive theatre for very young audiences and families. Past productions have included: The Pumpkin Patch Harvest Mystery, Monsters Under the Bed, Zero to Hero, The Wild Beastie Adventure and A Camp Squealy-Moo Dinosaur Party.

Interested Teens must be available for both the:

***Workshop-style Audition*** on Tuesday, June 16 (6 to 9 p.m.)

and

***Creation Workshop/Preview Performances*** (tuition $150.00) from Monday June 29 to Monday July 6, 10 a.m. to 4 pm. daily (Sunday off!).

Following the initial creation/rehearsal camp, performance commitments are very flexible and depend upon teen’s availability. Teens are paid an honorarium of $25.00 per performance (which can be applied to the workshop tuition!) and can expect to perform between 20 to 30 shows over the summer depending upon their availability.

To book your audition spot or for more information, email Artistic Director Jan Taylor (kompany@telus.net) by June 15th.
