Alberta’s 17th Premier, the Honourable Rachel Notley, and her Cabinet, were sworn in on the steps of the Alberta Legislature on May 24. The new provincial cabinet consists of 12 members.
David Eggen, MLA for Edmonton-Calder, was named as the new Minister of Culture and Tourism, as well as the new Minister of Education. Theatre Alberta would like to thank former Minister Kubinek for her service, and welcome Minister Eggen as our new Minister. We look forward to working with you!
David Eggen first represented the riding of Edmonton-Calder from 2004 to 2008, and was re-elected as MLA in 2012. He received a Bachelor of Education Degree in 1984 from the University of Alberta and taught at a number of Edmonton public schools. David served as the executive director of Friends of Medicare from 2008 to 2012. Click here for full bio.
