Competition (Edmonton): Vote for Wind in her Sails to support Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) research

wind-in-her-sails-title-with-graphicLong time Theatre Alberta member and Edmonton-based playwright, Elizabeth Bowering, was recently diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a rare and terminal neurological movement disorder, for which there is no successful treatment. Research in the area has been very limited due to a lack of funding.

Field Law grants award money annually through its community fund program to various worthy causes. Elizabeth’s idea is to raise research dollars through the run of one of her stage plays, Wind in her Sails, which premiered at the 2006 Edmonton Fringe Festival. Elizabeth hopes to both create awareness and raise funds for research in the disease from which she suffers.

Public votes are taken into consideration in Field Law’s selections. Click here for more information and to vote for Elizabeth’s project, Wind in her Sails.

Voting ends June 18th.
