CALL FOR ARTISTS.
Swallow-A-Bicycle Theatre Site-Specific Workshop and Performance at the Found Festival
presented by Print Machine

Poster design by Meags Fitzgerald
Have you ever wanted to abandon the stage and perform on a rooftop? How about in a freight elevator, a forest, a parking lot or a museum?
Swallow-a-Bicycle and Found Festival are seeking emerging artists with an interest in the creation of new work, and who wish to challenge their current creative practice via artistic experimentation with site-specific performance. We are proud to offer artists, from any discipline, an opportunity to create original work in a professional development workshop.
This ten-hour workshop explores the challenges and opportunities of working outside of purpose-built theatres, and provides techniques to help create original work in peculiar spaces. You’ll learn some of the tools from Swallow-a-Bicycle’s creative process, including physical improvisation, contextual research and the practicalities of working in found space.
Sunday, June 28, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Dr. Wilbert McIntyre Park (83 Ave & 104 Street)
*A public performance will take place at 7:00pm at the end of the workshop.
*$20 participation fee made payable on the day of the workshop. All participants become Found Festival artist, which gives you access to exclusive artist parties, complimentary tickets, and discounts on festival merchandise.
