We create an adventurous, safe, and friendly atmosphere in which to learn about and explore improvisation. People with all levels of experience are welcome.
Tim Kubasek, who will be leading and facilitating our improv workshop, is a stand-up comedian who also performs as an actor and improviser. We hope to strengthen our improvisation skills, have fun, and, start to build an ensemble. Tim is the perfect leader for improv because he is funny but also knows how to create a safe and inspiring environment where people feel free to take creative risks.

Directions by car:
Travelling South on 106 Street, you will see the Mount Pleasant School on your left (East side of the road)
Slow way down and turn left on 56th Avenue (going East)
Coming from Calgary Trail South travelling south, turn right on 58th Avenue. Then at the next corner, turn left at 105 Street. Then turn right on 56th Avenue.
Coming from the Whitemud Expressway, exit at 106 Street (watch the signs to be sure to stay in the correct lane for 106 Street) and go north on 106 Street. The street climbs uphill (one of the few hills in Edmonton that is not in the River Valley). There is a cemetery on your left. Turn right on 56th Avenue. Just before the turn, you will see a house with a flat roof and a canoe outside that is being used as a planter.
Serenity Gardens is on the north side of 56 Avenue. In front facing the avenue is a row of townhomes.
In the middle of the row of townhomes, turn left into the circular drive.
The Amenities Room is a little building that will be on your left as you enter the driveway.
Parking
Plenty of street parking available.
Anyone parking in visitor parking must put their name in the parking binder in the entryway of my building, so please arrive early and let me know so we can get you registered.
There is some visitor parking next to the entrance to the parkade.
The parkade entrance is the first driveway for Serenity Gardens on the left before you get to the townhomes.
There are a few visitor parking spaces near the circular drive. Some of them are marked loading zone or for disabled use only.
(Please don’t park anywhere else in the driveway because it is a fire lane.)
If no spaces are free, please park on the street.
Public Transportation:
Bus 52 (heading to Southgate) stops right in front of Serenity Gardens (56 Avenue between 105 and 106 Street).
A good option is to take the LRT and take the #52 bus from the Southgate Transit Centre and LRT stop. The #52 heading from Southgate towards downtown stops right in front of Serenity Gardens (56 Avenue between 105 and 106 Street).
If you don’t mind walking from 60th Avenue
and 109 Street, you can take the #9 bus going towards Southgate.
