News: Edmonton Fringe announces theme for 2015 Festival

SupercaliFRINGEilistic

It’s a jolly holiday with the 34th Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival,
SupercaliFRINGEilistic, August 13-23, 2015!

Join Fringe Theatre Adventures on a whirlwind adventure this summer as SupercaliFRINGEilistic blows into Old Strathcona for a vibrant, animated 11 days, August 13-23, 2015! Patrons, artists, volunteers, sponsors, and media personnel gathered at the ATB Financial Arts Barns this morning as the theme of this year’s Edmonton Fringe Festival was unveiled.

“Our theme this year speaks to the silly in all of us, the child that relied only on his or her imagination and the pure joy of when we get to play. In a word, ‘fun’, and the Fringe, after all, is a whole lot of just that. Fun!” Said Murray Utas, Artistic Director of Fringe Theatre Adventures, during the launch.

This year’s Festival will feature enchanting performers, buskers, artisans and vendors that will mesmerize the outdoor crowd while over 1,600 live indoor theatre performances will be hosted by 50 venues or more!
