Event (Edmonton): 2015 Culture Days National Congress – Citadel Theatre

2015NationalCongressNational Congress on Culture Coming to the Citadel Theatre May 7 & 8.

The 2015 National Congress – A CULTURE OF STORIES: EVERYONE. EVERY STORY. – is coming to the Citadel Theatre on May 7 and 8 and will showcase some of the extraordinary stories inspired, nurtured, created and curated from our cultural colleagues across Canada. The program will provide practical insights and direction into how to best articulate these stories, and look at how evaluating and communicating the impact of our work can inspire many more.

Keynote sessions feature Todd Hirsch, Chief Economist of ATB Financial and Chair, Alberta Premier’s Council on Culture, Jean Grand-Maître, Artistic Director of the Alberta Ballet, and an exclusive interview with CTV Canada AM’s Marci Ien and award-winning interdisciplinary artists Eric & Mia. The congress program includes a range of educational sessions and breakout workshops.

A cocktail reception will be held at the Art Gallery of Alberta and the National Congress culminates in a gala dinner hosted by Marci Ien to honour the 2014 Culture Days award winners from across Canada.
