Ben was a grade 12 student in the Theatre Arts program at Victoria Composite High School. While returning home from a mime practice on the evening of October 5, 1987, he died in a traffic accident. In memory of this gifted, sensitive, and dedicated young man, his family and friends established a bursary fund. This bursary enables other young people to experience the joy of learning which Ben did in the Artstrek program. Of the money available for this bursary, two-thirds are from Ben’s own savings.
