Series Summer Arts School at RDC is offering a number of courses this summer for anyone (18+)interested in costume and scene production.
From July 6-10 explore the world of puppets in storytelling and theatre in “The Art of Puppetry” or “Creating with Wonderflex” and make anything from headgear to fantasy costumes, masks and more with this amazing material.
From July 13-17 use a variety of materials in “Mask Making” or “Painting Large” as you explore scenic painting for theatre and murals.
If you only have a day to spare take “Zombie in a Day” on July 18th and discover everything from the basic to the extreme as you create a zombie on a budget or register inthe “Introduction to FOSSHAPE” and take your costuming to the next level with all the possibilities of this magical fabric. We’re offering a 1 day and a 5 day course in FOSSHAPE – something for everyone’s schedule. Last but certainly not least is our “Costuming for Cosplay” course from July 27-31 where you will explore the skills, materials and tools used to create your own cosplay costume.
Do all of this while staying right on campus. Included are instructor presentations, open studios in the evenings and a variety of social activities.
