The Performing Arts Centre Management Council is seeking an
EVENTS COORDINATOR / BOOKKEEPER
to provide support at
the Jeanne & Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will help to facilitate good financial management and reporting at the Lougheed Performing Arts Centre.
Specific tasks include processing accounts payable and receivables; bank and other reconciliations including the box office ticketing system; GST returns; payroll, invoicing, journal entries and year end working papers.
Event Coordinator responsibilities include:
Create, update, revise and amend rentals contracts, estimates and invoices; serve as primary contact between rental clients and Lougheed Centre; track and solicit timely payment of rental fees from clients; take minutes at event meetings and complete event forms.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
The ideal candidate has a professional demeanor and strong work ethic, works well with little supervision, and is a pro-active problem-solver. They embody impeccable communication and customer service skills, Strong organizational and time management skills, working within deadlines, and are capable of responding effectively to needs. Must enjoy building on community involvement at the arts centre.
You have at least two years of relevant bookkeeping experience and possess organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Reliable and highly professional, self-motivated and organized.
Experience with Event Management and Sage 50 Simply Accounting Program would be an asset.
