AUDITION NOTICE – BREATHING THROUGH A STRAW

Director Leigh Rivenbark is holding auditions for a short film titled Breathing Through a Straw. The short film will operate under the ACTRA Indie Production Agreement (Class 1 Production).

CASTING BREAKDOWN

Parker (Principal) – Closeted gay man, 40s
Ernie (Principal) – Parker’s senile father, 60s-70s
Jesse (Principal) – Handsome closeted gay man, 30s

Patricia (Principal) – Jesse’s fiery wife, 30s
Bill (Principal) – Dishevelled pedophile, 40s-60s
Young Parker (Actor) – Parker as a boy, 10
Boy (Actor) – Teenage boy, 15-17
TV Reporter (Principal ADR) – Woman, 20s-30s, voice only

SYNOPSES

Breathing Through a Straw is a screenplay that explores the consequences of secrets. When a hookup ends in homicide, Parker decides to confront the man who abused him as a child.

SHOOT DATES

June 26-29, 2015 (TBD)

AUDITION DATE, TIME, AND LOCATION

March 30, 2015 from 4-8 PM at FAVA (Ortona Arts Armoury, 9722 102 Street, Edmonton, Alberta).
