Congratulations to APN Member Phyllis Heltay who took first place in the 74th Annual Ottawa Little Theatre National One-Act Competition with her play Dashevsky and Lev.
After being hired to sit with a dead body as its official guardian or “shomer”, Dashevsky is shocked when the body he is watching gets up and starts talking. “A compelling, funny and poignant play peopled with two delightful characters,” says adjudicator Stephen Heatley.
Congratulations also to APN Member Ursula Jordaan who took second place in the New Works of Merit Playwriting Contest with her play All that Remains.
