New Blood
As part of Rosebud Theatre’s Rosebud Presents series, we would like to share with you a unique and powerfully relevant show. New Blood, created by Deanne Bertsch (choreographer for The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe and many other Rosebud Theatre shows) is a co-production of the Strathmore High School dance and drama classes and the Siksika Drummers. The show has been so successful that the show is touring to Lethbridge and Calgary.
New Blood is the story of Chief Vincent Yellow Old Woman growing up in residential schools and becoming Chief of his people, told through poetry, song and dance. This show really is a must-see. It’s a kind of healing-miracle-amazement in the making.
