Lighting 101 | 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM
This session will covering the basics of theatrical lighting, reviewing each of the main conventional theatrical fixture types from Spotlights, Floodlights, and Automated Fixtures. Basic layout of theatre lighting locations and dimming and control topics will be discussed.
Audio 101 | 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM
Learn how to set up a basic sound system. This session provides an explanation of when to choose and how to use, speakers, amplifiers, sound consoles and more. Learn about signal path, basic console operation and how to choose the correct microphone.
Lighting – The Best and Worst of LEDs | 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
This session will discuss how the human eye perceives color, and what that means to today’s color changing fixtures, and how maybe we are over complicating things with LEDSs. The session will also delve into how consoles reach the color you have requested.
Audio – Sources, Mics and Feedback Control | 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Join industry experts who will explain how to get the most from your audio sources, wireless and wired. Mic types and pickup patterns, placement in relation to the sound source, and wireless antenna systems will be explained. Learn how to choose the correct microphones for every application, and some tips on getting the most from your wireless microphones.
Lighting/Audio – Networking your Theatre | 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Networking in your theatre, and when and how do you go there. This session will discuss moving lighting, video and audio information efficiently around your space to give you the most flexibility.
Audio – Digital Consoles | 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
This session will provide you with information on large and small format digital consoles, setting them up for ease of use, and some operational tips from the pros.
Stage and Production Management | 3:00-4:00
Join three stage/production/event managers as they discuss their methods of pre planning and managing shows. Learn who reports to whom, and how to keep the information flowing for a smooth production.
Lighting – From Software to Hardware | 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Will software console solution and off the shelf hardware work for you? When does your theatre need a full featured console? Programming styles and samples of different software will be available.
Video – Video Servers | 4:30 PM – 5:30PM
This session will demonstrate the features of a Video Server, and show how they can position, scale, rotate, adjust transparency and colors, of your video signal. Pixel mapping and control from a lighting console will also be discussed.
