Join Caroline Russell-King as she leads a ten week playwriting class starting March 2nd – May 4th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday nights at Knox United Church.
- ALL of the participants will have 10 minutes of their work read in front of a live audience to showcase their play.
- TWO participants will go on to have a full length reading of their play in front of a live audience.
- ONE participant will go on to have a full day workshop and full production of her/his work by Urban Stories Theatre.
Urban Stories Theatre is interested in producing plays that examine sexuality. So if you are interested in writing about gender and sexual politics in any genre, this class is for you. The chosen play will be produced in November of 2015 for a minimum of 6 performances.
There is no prerequisite for this class; you can come with an idea or a first draft.
COST is $225.00 per playwright. Co-writers are welcome.

Caroline Russell-King
Caroline is an award winning playwright, dramaturg and instructor. She has written over 30 plays and has been produced all across Canada. Caroline has been teaching for over 35 years and has taught for many arts organizations including Alberta Playwrights Network, Theatre Alberta and The Alexandra Writers Centre. Currently she is The Southern Alberta Representative of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and she sits on the board of Alberta Playwrights Network. Caroline is also a member of the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas. Frontenac House published a trilogy of her one act plays- Palliser Suite in October.
