After a very successful round of Staged Readings in 2013, we are excited to welcome the complete re-worked and updated production of “The Raven” back to the Calgary Stage.

We are looking for dynamic, strong Musical Theatre Singers/Actors (Non-Equity) who can learn music quickly and have a desire to be part of the development of an exciting new show.

-Have a hand in bringing new work to the stage and help facilitate its development through performing the show and also being involved in talk-backs with audiences, table reads and discussions.
-Get in on the ground floor of a new show, with the possible opportunity to be involved in the full production.
-Be a part of cast recordings for songs and material that have been added and revised since the last Readings.

Thurs Feb 26, 2015 – 7:30 to 10:30pm
Friday Feb 27, 2015 – 6:00 to 10:00pm

Sat Feb 28, 2015 – 10am to 1:30pm

Mon March 9, 2015 – Table-Read
Mon Mar 16, 2015 – Table-Read
Full rehearsals begin the week of Mar 16th
Mon Apr 13-Thurs Apr 16 – Tech Week

(All Rehearsals are in the evenings and Saturdays)

~Please bring your calendars to the audition to confirm availability. While we can accommodate conflicts during rehearsals, all actors must be available for the performances~

Vocal – Applicants need to prepare two contrasting musical theatre songs (16-32 bars). Please bring an accompaniment CD or IPOD with track to the audition. No accompanist will be present, but a piano will be available and you are welcome to bring your own. NO ACCAPELLA.
Acting – Please prepare a 1-2 min monologue that shows off your abilities. If invited to callbacks, you will be asked to read from sides appropriate to the role/roles for which you are being considered.
