« Le destin tragi-comique de Tubby et Nottubby » explores the fundamental questions of life and death – all by way of the ridiculous adventures of two naive clowns. Preferring the poetic over the baroque, this show blends French and English, drama and comedy, a variety of eclectic sources ( Shakespeare, Laurel et Hardy, Orphée et Eurydice, etc.) music hall, physical theatre and song. All this, along with an expressive musical score and evocative scenic elements filled with shadow play, projections and an imaginative lighting design offer up a story that is bound to resonates as friendly and fabulous.
