What The Thunder Said is a performance triptych that examines the turbulent first quarter of the twentieth century. The performance begins with the glowing promise and prosperity symbolized by the Palace of Electricity at the 1900 Paris World’s Fair, moves through the grinding destruction of WWI, and closes with The Waste Land, T.S. Eliot’s iconic investigation of the desolate aftermath.
As a culture what have we learned from WWI?
What echoes and parallels persist a century later?
The One Yellow Rabbit ensemble teams up with guest artist Peter Hinton to premiere What The Thunder Said at the 2014 High Performance Rodeo.
