Workshops in both technical and non-technical aspects of theatre bring highly trained professionals to your community for one, one and a half, or two-day workshops.

Workshops by Request scheduled for December 2014 include:

Pasek & Paul Vocal Masterclass in St. Albert
On December 5, Tony-nominated composers Justin Paul and Benj Pasek will work with ten emerging professionals on a musical theatre song. Members of the public are welcome to purchase tickets to audit the Vocal Masterclass – call St. Albert Children’s Theatre (SACT) at 780-459-1600 and give them the code 31463. And, don’t forget to check out Pasek & Paul’s caberet-style concert on December 6 at 2 p.m.!

Shadow Performance in Grande Prairie
Anita Miotti will travel from Calgary to Grande Prairie to teach a workshop on integrating shadows into theatre peformance to Grande Prairie Live Theatre on December 14. Anita is a choreographer/dancer/actor who writes, performs and produces her own work. She is the founding Artistic Director of Theatre of the Living Statue and has created a Balinese style shadow performance at Calgary’s Saddledome stadium for His Holiness The Dalai Lama!

Workshops by Request applications are accepted throughout the year. Any theatre organization in Alberta that is a group member of Theatre Alberta may apply for a workshop through the Workshops by Request program, on any topic of their choice.
