The journey of Elephant Wake has been a long one or, at the very least, longer than the typical stage production of a standard piece of Canadian theatre. Starting in 1996 it has played everywhere from a converted curling rink to the Tron Theatre in Scotland. Throughout that time and even today Elephant Wake continues to develop. From staging to script, it remains a fluid piece of work that adapts to its playing space and the artistic sensibilities of its core creators, Joey Tremblay and Bretta Gerecke.
