Please join us for Industry Night – Monday, November 24 at 7:30 p.m. – a special opportunity to take a closer look at how to continue to develop and grow a production over the course of many years.

See the show, then stay afterwards for an intimate conversation with Joey Tremblay (past co-Artistic Director of Catalyst and the writer and performer of Elephant Wake) and James MacDonald (Director of the Citadel/Banff Centre Professional Theatre Program).  Twooney Bar! If you’re unable to make the show time, feel free to join us following the performance for the conversation starting at 9:15pm.

Tickets are only $20 for students/artists with the Industry Pass/seniors and $22 for general audiences.
Available
on-line and charge-by-phone at TIX on the Square (780.420.1757)

The journey of Elephant Wake has been a long one or, at the very least, longer than the typical stage production of a standard piece of Canadian theatre.  Starting in 1996 it has played everywhere from a converted curling rink to the Tron Theatre in Scotland. Throughout that time and even today Elephant Wake continues to develop. From staging to script, it remains a fluid piece of work that adapts to its playing space and the artistic sensibilities of its core creators, Joey Tremblay and Bretta Gerecke.

 – PLUS –

What are the possibilities that come with continuing the developmental process long after a show’s first opening night? How do you continue to rework and develop a show over the course of many years?

Joey and James will unlock all these mysteries and more for your edification. Don’t miss it!
