What’s On (Calgary): The Shape of a Girl – Artists’ Collective Theatre

soag.nov_.fundraiser.800Artists’ Collective Theatre is presenting two public performances of its school tour show The Shape of a Girl in order to raise money for those schools which cannot otherwise afford to have us bring the show to them.

The Shape of a Girl, by Canadian playwright Joan MacLeod, is a powerful one woman show that deals with the grim reality of female bullying and the code of silence amongst teens. Through her experiences and those of her friends, Braidie can see how bullying that starts as early as elementary school can lead ultimately to tragedy for teens.

Only two performances, November 7th and 8th, at the West Village Theatre in Calgary.
