Girls Gone Wilde: Call for Submissions

Urban Curvz Theatre is seeking submissions for the 4th annual
Girls Gone Wilde Festival (March 16-21, 2015)
The Girls Gone Wilde Festival is a celebration of new works that tell female-centric stories with humor, passion, and wit. We welcome submissions from playwrights and creators of any gender whose work demonstrates a commitment to creating rich female characters.
Submission Criteria: Scripts should pass the Bechdel Test
1. Pieces must feature two or more female characters
(there can also be male characters)
2. The characters must speak to each other, and
3. They must speak to each other about something other than a man.
(men can be mentioned, just not exclusively)
This year we are accepting submissions for full-length pieces, workshop readings and cabaret pieces. Work may have been previously produced, but not published.
Past years’ submissions have included clown, puppetry, song, dance, sketch comedy and mask.
