Production opens 4 Play Drama Series as Keyano Theatre celebrates 35th season
One of Canada’s most celebrated playwrights will kick off this season’s 4 Play Drama Series at the Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre.
Presented by the Keyano College Foundation, Partners and Friends and the Keyano Theatre Company, Norm Foster’s On A First Name Basis, opens tonight at the Keyano Theatre. The heart-warming comedy about a wealthy novelist and his dedicated housekeeper stars Mr. Foster himself and Patricia Vanstone, and is directed by (Theatre Alberta Board Treasurer) Claude Giroux.
“We are very excited to host the Alberta premiere of On A First Name Basis,” said Alan Roberts, the Director of Keyano Theatre & Arts Centre. “To have two incredible talents like Mr. Foster and Ms. Vanstone grace our stage is an honour and makes our 35th season even more special.”
In addition to Friday’s opening night, there will be shows October 4th and 8th to 11th. The performance starts at 8:00 p.m. for all shows.
Also on October 11, Keyano Theatre will host “An Afternoon with Norm Foster.” Mr. Foster will read from his plays and engage in a question and answer period. The event is free and begins at 3:00 p.m. in the Theatre.
