Saturday, September 13th – 10am to 5pm

About the Workshop

This workshop will be a fun workout for the actor’s body, voice and imagination. The focus will be on pragmatic rehearsal techniques designed to help you find the dynamic physical actions embedded in Shakespeare’s words, while nurturing and developing a vivid and personal relationship with your characters’ journey. The workshop broaches Shakespeare with an incredibly comprehensive approach, covering everything from group exercises, pre-performance strategies, scene work, performance, mock auditions and one-on-one consultations. Registration is limited to maximize the amount of one-on-one time for each participant; auditing spots are available for those wishing to observe the process.

Over three days we will cover the following:

  • Monologue coaching
  • Actors process – How to stand out in the audition
  • Cold reads from seldom seen pieces
  • Breaking down a piece quickly
  • Partnered reads
  • Creating a relationship with your reader or partner
  • Group excise
  • And much more !!!

This is the first time Mr. Weddell has produced a workshop of this style and by the end of the last day the participants will have greater understanding and be more confident preparing and auditioning for classical works.
