Auditions for orchestra players

We are looking for the following instrumentation (one player per part):

  • cornet 1
  • cornet 2
  • horn 1
  • horn 2
  • trombone 1

  • percussion (2-3 people)
  • violin 1
  • violin 2
  • viola
  • cello
  • double bass

University Students

Please book your audition and prepare two contrasting selections of your choice. You will be allotted ten minutes total for both selections.
Come prepared to discuss scheduling for rehearsals.

Community Members

Please book an informal interview time so that we can discuss your playing experience/background and scheduling for rehearsals.

Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsals will begin October 3 and run until December 5. This schedule is subject to change.
Venue: University of Calgary, Craigie Hall, Room F007
When: Friday from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Performances

January 8 – 10, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.
January 13 – 15, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.
January 14, 2015 at 12 p.m.
University Theatre

There will be a few weekend rehearsals with the cast – dates are TBA.
