Smoke And Ash Theatre Presents the Canadian premiere of HOSPITAL, a devised piece about the powerlessness of being a part of the medical industrial complex. Actor/writer Sarah Illiatovitch-Goldman and actor/dancer Robin Toller take you on a roller-coaster journey of story telling, dance, mispronounced names, popcorn, comedy and drama as one patient tries to answer the simple question: what’s wrong with me?

Originally conceived by Sarah Illiatovitch-Goldman (Finalist for the 2011 RBC Tarragon Emerging Playwright’s Award) and Diana Rose (Kaeja d’Dance, Dancemakers), HOSPITAL is performed by Sarah Illiatovitch-Goldman and Robin Toller (LAMDA Graduate, BBC Radio, National Arts Centre)

Part hilarious, part deeply unsettling, HOSPITAL premiered in spring 2013 at Collaboraction Theatre’s Sketchbook Festival which the Chicago Sun Times calls ‘a valued platform for playwrights, directors, and actors to toy with new ideas and innovative forms’.
