Young Actors Project graduation sticker!
The Young Actors Project is expanding its successful youth drama program into Alberta, and is seeking a qualified drama teacher to run acting workshops in Elementary and Middle Schools throughout the Calgary region. This is part-time contract work with the potential of it developing into full time. Workshops run during school hours 9am-3pm – right in kids’ classrooms at school. Pay is $165/day – which involves running 3 90-minute workshops for kids in grades K-8.
The qualified individual should have a strong drama background and love working with kids – as well as be confident enough to keep up to 30 kids focused, engaged, in-line, and having fun. The right candidate will also have a clean criminal record check. A reliable car is also beneficial.
The workshop consists of a set program of 3 different workshops. Lesson plans and materials will be provided.

YAP has been running for 8 years in BC (Vancouver/Kelowna/Victoria), and has grown every year. Last year YAP gave over 23,000 kids in BC a positive introduction to the art of acting right in their classrooms at school. This is a fun and rewarding job. Please contact me if you are interested in helping bring this program into Calgary.
