Urban Stories Theatre is looking for actors for our fall production of The Servant by Maria Crooks. Performance week: Nov 2-8/2014 at the Motel Theatre.
The Servant by Maria Crooks
The Servant tells the story of a poor, uneducated woman in the years prior to, and after the end of centuries of oppressive colonial rule in Jamaica, whose life seems destined to remain downtrodden and miserable. Will her dream of a better future for herself and her children come true or are the odds stacked against her, too many for her to overcome?
Cast:
Margaret: Canadian, Mid 30s early 40s
Richard: Canadian, 30’ or 40s Margaret’s husband
Juanita: Jamaican maid, Mid-30s
Johanna: English, Mid 30’s early 40s
Claire, English/Canadian, Mid 30s-40’s
Pastor Vincent: English/Canadian, Mid 30s-40’s, Claire’s husband
When:
-Thursday July 24 from 6:30-9 pm
-Friday July 25 from 6:30-9 pm
-Callbacks on Monday July 28 from 6:30-9 pm
