The staff and Board of Theatre Alberta was saddened and shocked to learn of the sudden passing of our long time member and friend, John Ruisch. John has been a huge supporter of our programs, and has attended Dramaworks regularly for years (the above picture is from Dramaworks 2009).

John was heavily involved in the Edmonton theatre community for more than 35 years and has performed in dozens of productions. Friends and colleagues who have had the pleasure of working with him have praised his dedication and talent, as well as his gentle and giving nature (onstage and off).

A public event celebrating the life and memory of John Rusich will take place at the J. L. Haar Theatre, MacEwan University, 10045 155 Street on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.
