Marketing Administrative Assistant

The Marketing Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to members of the Marketing and Development Departments in the execution of the Departments’ mandates.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in development and publishing of printed programs and other materials
  • Liaise with members of the media, Citadel subscribers and supporters, and the public as required to enhance their experience of the theatre
  • Monitor and record media coverage of Citadel activities
  • Assist in administration of mailings as part of the Citadel’s promotional activities
  • Maintain records and archives and generate reports as required
  • Engage in research and development of communications materials as required for engagement with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the planning, organizing and implementation of special events
  • Assist in the administration of direct mail campaigns, and other department activities
  • Maintain the donor data base, enter donations, generate letters and maintain constituent accounts
  • Other administrative tasks as required by the team

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing skills, preferably with experience in public relations and promotions writing
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, multitask and prioritize
  • High degree of initiative, proficiency and efficiency working with time sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, content management systems, and database software
  • Experience with live theatre and an understanding of the inner workings of a live theatre organization would be an asset.
  • University degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • This position is mainly Monday to Friday but some evening and weekend work is required.
