SHOW BUSINESS IS MURDER IN THE LATEST SCRIPT SALON READING
The Edmonton and area members of the Playwrights Guild of Canada are pleased to announce the second of their SCRIPT SALON events. SCRIPT SALON showcases some of the most talented theatre writers in the region with new plays ripe for production read by professional actors in the elegant setting of Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
Presented the first Sunday of every month with a different play by a different playwright featured every time, SCRIPT SALON is a bounteous buffet of sizzling comedy, drama, romance and adventure forged by the power of imagination.
On Sunday May 4th at 7:30 PM SCRIPT SALON will present Blaine Newton’s theatrical comedy/murder mystery THE FIVE STAGES OF DEATH.
THE STORY: At a major international theatre festival four eccentric theatre artists find themselves victims of vitriolic reviews from a mysterious theatre critic. When the critic is found murdered on the festival site all four find themselves suspects and it will be up to them to find the killer in their midst. Add a cryptic police inspector to the mix and you have farcical foray into a world of fragile egos, scheming minds and diabolical consequences.

Sunday May 4 at 7:30 in the Green Room at Holy Trinity Anglican Church (10037 84 Avenue).
Admission is free although donations are accepted. Refreshments will be provided. Parking is free.
After the reading the audience is encouraged to ask questions and provide commentary directly to the playwright.
