This play asks if our relationships are really what they seem to be. Do you really know the one you’re with? What happens when your entire relationship is based on perception? Does anyone really know anyone anymore? Or is who we are, just a projection, of the perfect version of what want to be. And in this image, how are we supposed to find love? When there are no flaws, no mistakes, and no substance, is there still something to lose? What happens when you change parts of yourself, just to feel loved?
Here is a short description of Marc
Marc – 25yrs to 35 yrs
Marc is an ambitious, hard working guy who is very focused on his career. He wants nothing else but to be successful at his job. He is tidy, organized and well spoken. He loves technology and definitely knows his way around a computer. The only woman in his life right now is his Mother, whom he loves dearly. When it comes to woman, he doesn’t exactly have the time to learn the Do’s and Don’ts of the dating world and is rather awkward when it comes to trying to be romantic. He has never been successful in keeping a girlfriend.
Please prepare a two contrasting monologues for the audition. You may also be asked to read a short scene from the play.
