We are pleased to present two renowned international theatre companies to instruct 5-day master classes from July 2 – 6:
Dramaworks 2014 will offer a master class by Belarus Free Theatre – the first of its kind in Canada – introducing their Investigative Theatre creation method.
Founded in 2005, as a means of resisting government pressure and censorship, Belarus Free Theatre is the country’s only non-state owned and controlled theatre company. Theatre Alberta is pleased to welcome co-founding member Vladimir Shcherban to Alberta to teach Belarus Free Theatre’s unique methodology.
Dramaworks 2014 also welcomes 3-Legged Dog Theater + Media Group (3LD), based in New York, to teach a master class in Multimedia Production Design.
3LD is a world leader in experiential art. Pushing the boundaries of design and reality, the company produces new original works in theatre, performance, media, and hybrid forms.
3LD’s New York headquarters was destroyed on Sept. 11, 2001. The group has since reinvented itself as producer of state-of-the-art multimedia hybrid productions.
