Heritage Park has an immediate opening for a Wardrobe/Fitting Assistant for the 2014 summer operating season. The term of the position is from the beginning of April, 2014 to the end of August, 2014, with a 35-hour work week.

Reporting to the Costume Designer, the Wardrobe/Fitting Assistant is primarily responsible for providing assistance to streamline the costume fitting and sign-out process. Your duties will also include generating related computer records and preparing costume bundles for pick up. Assisting with alterations, repairs and maintenance of costumes will also be required.

In July and August, you will be responsible for the laundering, ironing and assigning of costumes for our Children’s Camp Programs. The incumbent must be available to work Fridays 12:00pm – 8:00pm and Saturdays & Sundays 8:30am – 4:30pm between July 7th to August 22nd to perform these duties.

In addition to good sewing and solid computer skills, successful candidates must possess good organizational and communication skills. Post-secondary training in sewing and/or wardrobe maintenance experience would be an asset.
