We are currently casting for our upcoming production of The Basement Boys by Steven Owad which is set to hit the stage May 9 – 17, 2014. We will be casting for the following roles:
VINNIE: 25. Wiry, with a fast intellectual metabolism. Often rushing to pounce on lightning-quick thoughts and emotions; this gives him a drastic and overwrought worldview.
DARYL: Vinnie’s friend, 25. A small man in a big man’s body. Soft but not obese. Lumbering, slow to react, easy to dismiss as a loser. In any crowd, Daryl is the forgotten man.
JAMIE: Vinnie’s friend, 22. Full of youthful optimism but hampered by a lack of ambition. He sees the world as there for the taking – if only he would choose to take it. A slightly inflated sense of his own capabilities.
KATE: Vinnie’s brother’s girlfriend, 26. Earthy, open and impossible to shock. She sees and understands weakness in others but refuses to admit it in herself.
