Character Development in Calmar
A late addition to our February workshops: Michele Fleiger traveled to from Edmonton to Calmar (located just west of Leduc), to lead her popular acting workshop in character development to the Calmar Prairie Players. The company recently had several new members join their group, and wanted ot pintroduction to the theatrical process.
Directing a Contemporary Play in Grande Prairie
On March 1st, Edmonton-based director Michael Peng travelled north to teach a one day workshop on directing to Grande Prairie Live Theatre. Another 18 people came out to to the workshop, matching Gina Moe’s Stage Management workshop attendence last month! Nice work, Grande Prairie!

Acting and Character Development in Spruce Grove
On March 22nd, Edmonton actor Annette Loiselle will drive over to Spruce Grove to teach a workshop in Acting and Character Development to members of the Horizon Players. The company will be producing Over the River and Through the Woods by Joe Dipietro at the end of April, and are using this workshop opportunity to refresh their acting skills.
Workshops by Request applications are accepted throughout the year. Any community theatre group in Alberta may apply for a workshop through the Workshops by Request program, on any topic of their choice. Professional development opportunities sponsored by a professional theatre company are also considered for support through the program.
