Two Shows That Speak Volumes…Without Saying a Word

Two Shows That Speak Volumes…Without Saying a Word

Goblin Market and Little Problems aim to explore communication through non verbal means. Using puppetry, shadow play, mime, and music these two shows will guide people through two stories with one thing in common: no speaking.

The Shows

Goblin Market (based on the poem of the same name by Christina Rossetti) tells the story of Lizzie and Laura, two sisters forced into frightening new territory when they encounter the infamous Goblin merchants. Using shadow play and puppetry, this adaptation delves into themes of addiction and sexuality.

Little Problems is an original creation about a day in the life of a woman navigating her way through a loud and overwhelming world. Through mime and physical comedy we watch local actress Kelly Malcolm find solace in simple things so she can avoid being forgotten altogether.
