This is a non-equity production.
Audition requirements:

– 1 up-tempo song
– 1 ballad song
The songs should showcase a legit and also a pop/belt voice
– Must be able to read music or have an exceptional ear and also capable of singing harmonies
– 1 comic monologue 2 min. max
– Need not be dancers, but must have the ability to move well on stage, as there is some choreography

Main Role: (roles are not age specific but performers must be 18 years of age.)
Pierre, French Canadian Trapper: More mature performer. He is the MC and driving force behind the entire evening and has extensive interaction with the audience. Must have great comic timing and ad-libbing skills
Klondike Kitty: She is flirty and fun and also must be capable of interacting and ad-libbing with the audience
Mountie: Based on the Nelson Eddy character from the 1936 movie Rose-Marie
Rose-Marie: Based on the Jeanette MacDonald character from the movie Rose-Marie
Anne of Green Gables: Based on Lucy Maud Montgomery character
Hockey Player: Comedic role
Fisherman: Comedic role

Additional Information:
This is a six month contract in the beautiful mountain town of Canmore, Alberta, located just one hour west of Calgary. Oh Canada Eh? Dinner Show is in its 13th year of production. The show is an all Canadian musical revue celebration of Canada, featuring the music of artists such as Shania Twain, Michael Buble, Paul Anka and Leonard Cohen, to name a few and the characters are based on recognizable Canadian icons. Performers are required to serve food and drink in our purpose built rustic style cabin theatre and must be prepared to obtain ProServe certification in alliance with AGLC (Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission). The show offers an exceptional opportunity for performers who love people, to hone their musical theatre and performing skills, while entertaining our international guests.
