Arts Habitat Edmonton is a non-profit company engaged in finding, managing and developing space for the arts. Our mission is to nurture, advocate for and build vibrant, healthy, and creative arts spaces.

Arts Habitat is seeking a Project Coordinator who will play a key role in the development of our building projects and on-going management of current spaces and initiatives. Arts Habitat is a two-person office meaning that the scope of work is broad – from the mundane to the creative. This is an opportunity to use your current skills and passion for the arts to learn about the details, issues and impacts that affect the space needs of artists.

Working with and reporting to the Executive Director the Project Coordinator will:
• Develop, coordinate and manage building projects including McLuhan House, ArtsCommon and the Artists Quarters
• Work with our many partners and stakeholders as a leader or team member
• Work with City of Edmonton administration on various Arts Habitat initiatives including Bylaws and Zoning
• Work with the arts community to identify and respond to their space needs and issues
• Provide support as required for Arts Habitat administration

Qualifications:
• A passion for the arts and understanding of artist space needs is essential
• Minimum five years experience in arts administration or related experience
• Effective communicator with excellent writing skills and speaking ability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Aptitude for understanding space and building design would be an asset
• Knowledge and proficiency with graphic design programs, websites and social media would be beneficial
• Knowledge of and experience with the Edmonton arts community is an asset

Employment Term:
This position is full time and permanent

Remuneration:
$50,000 – $60,000 per annum
