Technical Theatre in Whitecourt
I.A.T.S.E. technician Bobby Smale will be heading out to Whitecourt later this month to lead a two-day workshop with the Pumpjack Players. Bobby will be explaining and demonstrating the basic operations of lighting and sound equipment to help the Pumpjack Players expand their volunteer technician pool.
Lighting and Makeup in Red Deer
In October, Central Alberta Theatre is slated to host two separate exciting weekends of workshops at CAT Studios and the Memorial Centre. First up, a lighting workshop will cover designing lighting plots, hanging and focusing lights as well running the board. Next, a makeup workshop will outline basic stage makeup techniques.
Workshops by Request applications are accepted throughout the year. Any community theatre group in Alberta may apply for a workshop through the Workshops by Request program, on any topic of their choice. Professional development opportunities sponsored by a professional theatre company are also considered for support through the program.
