Vanessa Porteous, ATP’s Artistic Director, will be travelling to Stratford Theater next year to direct Christina, The Girl King by Michel Marc Bouchard, translated by Linda Gaboriau.
“I’m so excited to have the privilege to go to the Stratford Festival this summer to direct such a beautiful play by one of Quebec’s great playwrights, whose play The Coronation Voyage ATP premiered in 1999. I used to go to Stratford with my parents as a little girl, and it is a big part of why I work in theatre. It’s such a thrill.”
This year at Calgary’s Betty Mitchell Awards, Vanessa Porteous was recognized with the award for Outstanding Direction for her work in ATP’s production of Red. Vanessa will be making her Stratford Festival debut with Christina, The Girl King.
